It's not bad, but it's also not over. The problem is that they let it cool off too much and their current angle doesn't address why Cena joined up with the Rock and some basketball-American to beat the shit out of Cody. I'm sure it'll be fine if they invest more into the build.

Cody drags down every segment. Cena’s promo’s feel like old school wrestling. He is calling back on not only his history, but wrestling history, and presenting his persona as a heel, but seemingly speaking off the cuff. Cody comes out and his promo sounds so robotic and scripted it just ruins the entire segment

I defended the first promo and thought it was perfect in setting up as a non-cool heel that put Cody over even more while also having some great memorable lines. This week wasn't as good but it did establish the angle of him stealing the title. Next week things need escalated, there needs to be a fight or the Rock needs to show up or Travis Scott needs to jump Cody. Something needs to happen or it will be indefensibly cooled off
