Maybe it's just headcanon, but something tells me that this segment was to tell Punk that he's actually getting NIGHT 2 main event irl. This makes sense if you consider that he still has his favor, and in the promo he did after Cena's heel turn he said he was going to get both him and Rock, there was no reason to said that if we weren't to be involved there, and Rock pretty much disappears after WM so I still think the favor will lead to a "Winner of night 1 goes to night 2 main event"

they can't do that, they'd be retarded to have 0 stakes seth/roman main event n1. roman is the removable piece from the match, he's barely involved and only put there to get him on the card, you can't take punk or seth out.

it does since Punk and Cena already have a long history, and so far Cena and Cody haven't done anything particularly exciting unlike Cody and Rock last year

Maybe the only issues are that Punk and Cody have no heat, but it's not like they haven't planted the seeds, and that a singles match always has more aura than a triple thread, but then again, it's the outcome that matters and I strongly believe Cena will get the 17
