WWE could be heading to India for a major show—but fans will have to wait just a bit longer.
In a new interview with Hindustan Times, WWE President Nick Khan addressed the long-running speculation about India finally landing a WWE Premium Live Event. While nothing’s confirmed yet, Khan made it clear the company has its eyes on the country in a big way.
>“That’s the goal, and we’re penciling out 2026 and 2027 now,” Khan said. He revealed that in early meetings with Netflix—WWE’s new streaming home—executives handed over a list of their top priority markets. “At the top of that list was India,” Khan shared. “If it’s important to Netflix, assume it’s important to us.”
Starting April 1, WWE content will begin streaming on Netflix in India, a move Khan says adds even more urgency to planting WWE’s flag deeper into the region. Although India has been on WWE’s radar for years, the Netflix partnership might finally be the game-changer fans have been waiting for.
WWE last held an event in India with Superstar Spectacle in 2023—but that wasn’t a Premium Live Event. Now, with WWE’s global reach expanding faster than ever, bringing a WrestleMania-level show to India looks more likely with each passing year.
Khan closed the discussion by stating the company is still in its planning phase but added, “Let’s wait and see.”
