Not really. Cena never had time for Punk. Phil was always crying for Cena's attention while John was focused on the Rock. That was their 'history rivalry.' If he wanted to, Cena could have buried Punk in a heartbeat. Hell, Triple H did during it. People were just too naive at the time to realize all of the stuff he was saying about Punk was true

Nah. That promo on Roman ethered the guy. Cena just spouted off the same tired shit that guys like Rollins etc have brought up. His big ending remark was more a diss to Tony Khan and AEW than it even was to Cody. It wasn't nearly what you're making it out to be

Again, all he did to Cody was call out the same stuff fans already say. That he comes across disingenuous, that he leeches off of Dusty's legacy too much, that he's an entrance merchant, and something something AEW. That's really all it was. I watched it too

Punk relies on script writers and worked shoot stuff where he gets to break the forth wall, use people's real names and make references to backstage politics and his opponent has to stay in character and not shoot back on him

This. This has been Punk's shtick since 2011 and they days of "this isn't CM Punk talking to Triple H" ugh. He's used worked shoot shit as a crutch ever since. He can't just be a character and that's why he's been so boring since returning to WWE because what does he even have to be upset about as a shoot? He's nothing without a chip on his shoulder. Which is why he's still clinging on like a bitter ex to AEW with all of his little digs because it's the only moments you get those tongue in cheek Punk one-liners. Except no one cares because it has nothing to do with the show he's on. Loved Punk back during the SES days and all that. But ever since he became the worked shoot guy 24/7 it's just gotten so tired
Especially with what you're saying about people never fully getting to go in on him quite the same way. He'd be the easiest guy to dress down and eviscerate too

Punk's heel run as champion was great. His promos against Jerry Lawler and Paul Bearer are still memorable in how vindictive they were, the scriptwriters deserve some credit but Punk's delivery was what sold them

Seems like you care quite a bit. If you liked it that's fine. You don't need to speak of it so hyperbolically though. It was a great promo but it wasn't some career maker or breaker. As others have said it felt like he was playing nice compared to that Roman one
