No one who lived through the 80s and 90s would say that. I mean, this is better than it's been in years but objectively not true, at least not to anyone who watched during those years. You can go back and watch the old stuff but you're not getting the full impact because you know what happens already.

There's no story. Cody is just some untouchable Hulk Hogan sociopath with no story, the rest of the title scene is all fighting over a fat bald guy, the other jobber world title is going to be won by a guy that says yeet. This is a terrible era, but it's like that because this is a transition period. It's weird. All the current big names are now retiring and the old veterans are even older and can't do one-off appearances anymore. We don't have any new talent rising or even indies to develop young talent. There's no Bryan Danielson in the making. We have no one.
