For example, I think a 97/98 Kevin Nash would get over today because he’s big, he cuts a pretty good promo, charismatic, ballsy, attractive, and can work a little, but not a lot. He’s not going to be doing flips and shit, but a guy his size shouldn’t.
Conversely, I think a guy like CM Punk would be a mega heel in the NWA territorial days, because he’d be treated like witchcraft. All these tattoos and piercings, tremendous on the stick, great in ring storyteller. You get him opposite a Dusty Rhodes and the fans would be hitting the ring.
