This is what gave us Russo-booking, no focus on the matches and more promo time.

It's not hard to tell a story in a match with the booking, the selling, the history between two wrestlers.

Using soap opera shit to tell the story is the reason pro wrestling is seen as entertainment for morons.

The writing does not have to be soap opera level. It just is because these promotions make no real effort and the people in charge (HHH, Tony Khan) are not actual writers.
