behind the scenes, I think Triple H is ghosting him, so only The Rock is dealing with Solo.
Solo, Jey and Jimmy are so gonna be lost (direction-wise) without Roman Reigns around

My only guess is when Loa comes back in June they finally debut Hikuleo so at least he has a giant for muscle.

a lot of the other coconut theatre stories got fucked up by turning roman babyface, because that anyone who stands against him is inherently the "bad guy" heel even when they shouldn't be or it makes no sense.
solo for example is the good guy in his story. he stepped up to lead the bloodline when roman was out for months crying and licking his wounds. he is rejected because he's not roman, but he tries to keep the family together anyway. classic face stuff, but it doesn't work because he is in direct opposition to roman, who is supposed to be viewed heroically as the face now, even though he's done nothing good for anyone but himself, as well as the monstrous jacob, who is much better at filling the traditional heel role than solo.
the usos similarly suffered from a lack of a conclusive ending. years of roman treating them like shit, no apology no comeuppance no nothing. they're just cool now. because ya just gotta, apparently.

I have to nitpick that Solo wasn't really really a face considering he went out of his way to recruit the tongans who were blacklisted for being too violent. thats not keeping the family together thats just a new group.
I do agree that Roman shouldnt be a face at all though. He should have come back and immediately gone after his rematch with Cody. Him losing to cody clean this time could have been what started his face turn when he realizes he needs his family again. Instead usos and sami had to basically insert themselves back in his life even though he made no amends. and now he's just aimless it seems.

I don’t understand why they didn’t carry that program until Mania, sure the match would have still been shit but at least the culmination of the OTC story feels like a proper Mania storyline. Plus Phil and Roman is such a mega money match, even though this is a triple threat I think they would have been smarter to keep the powder dry for that one.

It’s very strange, the only thing I can think is that Netflix threw their weight around like the Saudis and insisted on certain matchmaking for the debut. I actually liked the knockoff bloodline gimmick for Solo. With the crowd viewing Roman as a face in his absence, doing a cheap imitation of Roman’s heel gimmick is a good way to draw heat. And if you decide Solo isn’t a viable opponent for Roman at Mania, just have Fatu usurp the leadership of the nu-bloodline and have him face Roman at mania.
