I'm not sure I'd say he did. He was injured a lot and much more limited in the ring. If all of the booking stuff about him was true then even as far as what he and Tony were able to agree on to get him out there and involved in stuff then I'd say they were featured to about the fullest extent a team and trio could be. It's not like AEW acquired some world champion level guy when they did. He was already struggling to get tv time and was just sort of floundering in the midcard while he was last in WWE. Tony used his act to help get over Buddy, Brody, and Julia. Aleister/Malakai always just seemed to want to head back to WWE as soon as he found out that door was open. Can't blame him if that's what he wanted. Can't blame Tony for not wanting to give him up. They both held up their end of the deal and now he's free to go back. Pretty clean break all things considered and compared to other instances

Like every other ex WWE guy who went to AEW, he felt entitled to a main event level push and got butthurt when he didn't get it. He was an overrated faggot who relied on a elaborate entrance and spooky early 90's Undertaker tier gimmicks. The only good things he did was to get Cody's bitch ass out of AEW and help Jailbait Julia establish herself as a star.

Y'all can have him, he'll be in catering like Andrade in 3 months or so.

Realistically, a lot of these entitled Exfed guys going back to the Fed to be midcarders is pretty funny. It's getting AEW back to what it was meant to be - a super indie with Japan/Lucha shit. No one wanted AEW to be Diet Coke WWE other than Punk, Cody and, somewhat briefly, Tony. Maybe now AEW will improve.
