Triple H and Cena completely fumbled the direction of the heel turn, which is why Cena changed his apparent motivation in the next 3 appearances after EC until he settled for the most basic "I hate the fans" gimmick. On top of that, Cena is beyond washed up, but that's to be expected and Cody had to carry him hard despite Cena still calling every move and doing it so loud I honestly think he was doing it intentionally just to keep his gimmick going.
The Rock not showing up is peak shithousery and completely unprofessional when the story became about him and his bullshit. Him claiming HHH called him to boost sales for EC makes things even worse, as he's airing dirty laundry. He's genuinely sabotaging things, and the only question left is if he's doing it on purpose or not to rub it on Haitch's face that he's higher than Paul on the ladder now, despite the Nose's 20 years of politicking to become the booker, and that he can shit all over Paul's work and get away with it.
Travis was there just as a gimmick. His appearance killed the pace of the match but he was going with a script written for the Rock. Had it been Dwayne there, taking 3 minutes to get to the ring ala Taker would have built tension instead, but the Rock was too busy being a prima donna in Hawaii.
CAWdy is actually that had the least influence in the whole debacle that was WM main event. He tried to carry an old guy that couldn't wrestle in his prime, much less now, didn't go in with a booboo face despite the shit hand he was dealt, played his dumb ass character and went home.
