Her ring work wasn't good or interesting enough to compensate for her lack of charisma. There was nothing to latch on to that would get her over with even the NXT smark audience let alone a mainstream audience. When she signed I thought she was supposed to be this strong style joshi badass, like Satomura 2.0. It turned out she was just a kinda miscellaneous jap wrestler with no defining characteristics.

Her issue is that she was trained by people like Kaoru Ito to carry on that AJW style and basically treated as the heir apparent to the likes of them and Ayumi Kurihara since she was like 16 or 17. So she became a self-mark who bought into her own hype and saw WWE and doing anything other than serious joshi wrestling as beneath her. At least that's the impression that I get.
