Yes. Antonio Inoki's retirement match was vs Don Frye. The Japanese MMA guys got worked into thinking puroresu was taking it easy for a quick buck and then they started getting hurt. The reason Don Frye has such a manly voice is directly because his neck was broken in wrestling.
