The character is a firebird/phoenix so at least it makes sense that it can be passed down since they are always reborn from ashes. This is rare in Japan though, only ever really seen Lucha wrestlers pass on gimmicks like this (outside of Tiger Mask)
Apparently the family of the original approved of it as well

I've been looking for a Hayabusa tribute video from the mid-late 00s that I downloaded as a kid and I think it was also uploaded on youtube.

The song in the video is "Love Dischord" by Beat Crusaders (thank god I remember the song!). If anyone has it or can point in the right direction I'd be eternally grateful. If not I think it's considered lost media.

I also saw a Terry Funk tribute video on yt like 5-10 years ago featuring his own song from his album. I think that video was like 15 minutes and was very well put together featuring his greatest moments. If someone know anything about that as well that would be swell. this. hayabusa without the fmw elements is just another high flyer. also it's nice that the family signed off on it, couldn't do it otherwise, but it's not a gimmick that should be passed on because hayabusa is eiji ezaki.
