That said, I do want to say I'm definitely perplexed on Karrion's new "change" for his character. I said it before, but it is really, REALLY strange for his character who was the more typical, "villain just to be one" that you see in many types of media and effectively, a "true heel" in a way, to then retroactively have his actions be justified in his mind just because he couldn't get booked and backstage politics. I could go all day about why his actions specifically wouldn't make any fucking sense with that mindset and completely contradict the original character and just make him look like a huge baby, but then he put out a new """"""""documentary"""""""" on his youtube channel which somehow came across my feed, and I tapped out when I saw the "shoot" convo between him and some wannabe MMA schmuck or whoever it was.
Maybe I'm stupid, but I legitimately don't understand how I'm supposed to interpret what Karrion is now. Is he turning face? How do any of these past events make me want to root for him? Yes it was based for him to go tell H to go fuck himself, but it's still such a gaping contradiction with what he was before. It's kinda like Cena's heel turn ironically. For a character who hates what his fanbase viewed him (currently) as he still touts the merch and sells it wholesale, it's too contradictory. You're breaking the immersion. You've gotta commit to the bit to make people believe it and have it make sense. That's storytelling 101.
I genuinely think that Kross is the guy who people on here think Punk is like. Total self mark who thinks he's a badass even if he doesn't want to say it just cuz he cut his teeth for a while and did hardcore matches and that he's the most creative out of everyone. Don't get me wrong, he can be good, but he's not as creative as he thinks he is. He has a hint of potential but if he keeps going this route he'll have a hard time climbing.
