New Japan made him rein in his style and it made a big difference.
When you're on a big stage, not every match needs to show off everything you can do. It makes sense in the indies where that might be the one time someone sees you. It makes less sense when you have people tuning in every week where they can burn out on you.
He can do some spectacular stuff but he should save it for when it matters so it can make an even bigger impact. And even then, he doesn't have to do all of it.
