>>17636041I fucking don't, cause they currently suck.
I would if they didn't. But there's too much jerking off of politics; id pol, government politics, backstage politics, even competitive politics. Can't even fucking do that right. AEW just isn't enough of a competitor despite people acting like it is or AEW throwing out odd dimes. So it just comes off a bitchy, not epic fucking struggle like WCW and WWF.
Worst thing for wrestling was when vince bought WCW out. But it gives perspective. If for some reason WWE bought out AEW tomorrow, the wrestling world wouldn't even flinch. It'd be fucking Tuesday. AEW doesn't have the scope or pedigree or talent. That's why the AEW/WWE rivalry is garbage.
If I were ever going to throw out the wildest fucking idea ever to give wrestling a second golden age, it would be if WWE actually traded some of their shit to AEW till it became a threat.
Obviously there's no fucking way that would happen cause why would you up your competitors to the point they could actually threaten you. And they would have to be competitors, not just the same company with 2 heads. But without it. It's just the same old stale shit. And WWE is just so fucking massive, there's nothing to keep them innovating except stockholders, and they give as much of a fuck about wrestling as they do numbers going up which majority of which happens miles away from the ring.
Odd microcosm of monopolies ruining shit.
