One thing that makes the Japanese scene so interesting to me is that you have a lot of smaller sized companies whose paying fanbases don't overlap nearly as much as you would think considering the companies frequently collaborate, so a single venue running wrestling shows almost every day often to 1000+ people doesn't exhaust the market even when attendance is low across the country.
I couldn't imagine anything remotely like that existing in America. ROH, TNA, MLW, NJPW Strong and a local superindie running the same venue in the same city are going to draw the same people.
