I've never been so pathetically attached that I was in a spot where I had to "give up" on it. I simply just stop watching at points and then start again at others. It's really not that deep. It's entertainment. If you aren't entertained then why waste your time? Watch something you will enjoy and eventually when you want to watch wrestling again you'll actually have a desire to instead of it being a chore

I'm a zillennial who first saw it in the mid-2000s so I was never a fan of the active product. I always hated the whole vibe of that era and they have retained that vibe in some form for 20 years. Even with the Hogan / Bischoff era, TNA still had some fantastic stuff going on in the midcard especially MCMG vs Beer Money.

When I realized HHH didn't bring back the attitude era. No character driven stories, instead the same cookie cutter muh serious sport shit aside a few exceptions. No different locations or contexts for segments, everything is in the ring, backstage and a few times in the parking lot. No valets or even managers anymore aside very few exceptions and even then he tries to get the girls to wrestle even when they can't like Maxxine

I gave up on all of wrestling because my mom died a couple years ago and she was a huge wrestling fan. I took care of her and used to watch wrestling with her all the time. Now that's she's gone it just reminds me of her and how she was suffering towards the end. That's not how I want to remember her.

In 2004 I was starting to get more into other things like vidya, music and film. By 2006 I was a TNA chad. Started watching a bit more when Punk and Bryan started getting serious pushes but I think even by like 2001 you could say my interest in WWE was starting to wane. A few years before AEW came along, TNA got me back into wrestling and I started checking out WWE again a bit more.
