I find bad commentary detracts from wrestling more than it adds if you know what's going on. It's one of the things I like about watching Japanese wrestling - if I'm watching New Japan I always turn on the Japanese commentary unless I haven't been following lately because most commentators don't know when to shut the fuck up or when to stop trying to get themselves over.
The only English commentary team I do like is over on NOAH.
