He wanted to have middling underground “punk” (I say that very loosely, not musically even) success. To play to a small room full of cool kids and maybe inspire other bands down the line. Instead he ended up in his own words as lead singer of Cheap Trick or The Knack. His whore wife, who was then an extremely rich woman bought a Lexus and he had a fucking melty and made her return it. But being able to afford a Lexus and making your wife return it may be even more dumb and gay than whatever he was worried about being perceived as.
Moxley worked for the biggest company in his industry. Got a huge push. Owned his own slice of the time slot. Whenever he had creative input it was things absolutely no one wanted to see, like Brock in a weapons match hitting him with a weed whacker (ala Cobain hiring Albini to make In Utero unlistenable). He wanted to wrestle in a fucking gym against dildo sucking queers and stick bbq skewers in his head instead of being a superstar. I also wish he would blow his brains out.
