Its just shitty wrestler traditions. You gotta pay your dues even if you're over as fuck. So they end up cooling you off and everyone loses out. Knight is less over than he was, is seen as a lesser deal by the fans and so is a lesser asset to the company.

Knight was a bit too much of a problem down in NXT because he had some balls to stand up for himself. He also was against HHH's guy, Bill DeMott and walked out due to the hazing shit he'd put guys through. HHH will feature Knight and push him but I doubt he'll ever get anything big, maybe a quick world title run before getting cashed in on.
