Problem with that is current CM Punk has to play good boy Phil because if he fucks things up for himself in WWE like he did in AEW then he's got no more bridges to burn and has nowhere else he can make money in wrestling. So the guy acting on his best behavior and waving the company flag doesn't exactly play into the guy who needs to be pissed off about something in order to be interesting. Thus we've had about a year and half of completely soulless promos and performances from him
