AEW don't rate and WWE are good at monetizing the smaller fanbase but the number of fans have steadily declined over the past 20 years.
How long do you think it will be before it's officially over? It's got another 20 years at least, right?

Impossible to say but there’s no current wrestler working who looks likely to become as mainstream as Punk, Cena or Roman so it could be in for a dire run when they’re all officially retired

Both are already basically scamming the TV/streaming networks with big money deals while bleeding viewers, but they won't be able to do that forever.

Netflix will expose the fact that it's not that people don't watch on TV anymore, or that internet numbers aren't being accounted for somehow. It will show that the fanbase just isn't that big anymore. WWE is going to have a much harder time finding another deal after Netflix, and then eventually it will be impossible as the numbers dwindle further.

AEW literally doesn't matter. The ratings are so low it might as well be a youtube channel. And it's the last hope after WWE. it's looking grim, bros.

WWE's attendance is fantastic right now. The ratings aren't what they were in the attitude era, but there's so much more content out there than there used to be, there's basically no way they could ever get 8 million people watching in America ever again. However there are a lot of casual WWE fans right now who don't watch every week, but they keep up with the show on social media and would buy a ticket when the show is in town.

Netflix way outperformed in their last quarter, and the CEO said that WWE was a big part of that. He said it brought in subscribers who stayed subscribed, many of them at the highest tier, and they're able to get more ad money from Raw than their other shows. Netflix is by all accounts extremely happy with WWE.

Wrestling only had huge audiences for a relatively small period of its existence. It may go back to running in high school gyms and county fairs but it won't die completely.

Now this is the right answer. Big Tunes Billy is rebuilding the territory system, and that is where its all heading. When the bubble finally pops, and the great reset happens, the clock zeros and the cycle begins again. Hopefully WWE goes out of business so that we wont have one company controlling most of wrestlings history. If they start hemorrhaging money theyll start selling off those assets which can possibly grow again.

A company as big as WWE will never officially go out of business, it will just be bought and sold for less and less money over time. The brand name will be worth something for a long time regardless of anything else.
