AEW CANCELLED BY TRILLER

No.17739317 View ViewReplyOriginalReport
>Just days before AEW Double or Nothing hits screens this Sunday, fans in the U.S. are being caught off guard by a major streaming shake-up—Triller will not be carrying the event in the United States.

>The platform hasn’t officially announced anything, but during Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer confirmed the situation and said even he’s been unable to get answers.

>Bryan Alvarez brought up the absence of Double or Nothing from Triller’s listings, prompting Meltzer to respond: “That’s another unanswered question.” He went on to explain, “I do know that it will NOT be available on Triller in the United States. There are plenty of other ways to order it.”

>Triller has been a consistent streaming home for AEW fans in the U.K. and other countries since 2019 and eventually expanded to offer access in the U.S. as well. So this sudden absence ahead of one of AEW’s biggest pay-per-views of the year has fans scrambling for clarity.

>Meltzer noted, “Now Triller will put that up in certain markets at some point soon. I don’t know why it’s not up… for whatever reason this show will be available in some countries.” When asked directly why this was happening, Meltzer was blunt: “I don’t know.”

>As of now, there’s been no official word from AEW or Triller, and it’s unclear what the status will be for fans in regions like the U.K., where Triller has long served as a key distributor. Meltzer mentioned the episode should be available imminently on ITV, but whether it will be the full two-hour version or a shorter edit remains unknown.
