It's weird that people bring up premature deaths in wrestling but won't mention Paul despite him having a larger role in influencing that than possibly anyone else. Was Paul directly responsible? No of course not but the culture he fostered and encouraged at ECW would have long lasting influences on the business as a whole to come for atleast the next 10 years after ECW shut down.

Unironically, Paul Heyman saw talent in Stone Cold and Big Show when Bitschoff fell for the kliq and Hogan policies of the old washed up wrestlers, and WCW Became a hollywood shitshow led by Ted, Hogan, Nash and Bischoff.
And thanks to that retarded decision Stone Cold brought WCW to their ruin, which is quite a poetic vengeance since all came back begging vince to return.
