As a product they're nothing alike. WCW was unwatchable because the crazy shit went nowhere and was replaced with even stupider shit next week so you couldn't care about anything while modern WWE doesn't even have stories or characters in the first place because it's the blandest possible Jewish Marvel equivalent product that you aren't even supposed to actually care about.

That doesn't make sense when, no matter what you think about the product, WWE is making record profits and WCW was bleeding money. WWE may be in a dry spell creatively wise but it's not at risk of going out of business any time soon no matter how much you wish it were so
