I really love big match Taguchi, but I think the difference between him and Goto is that Taguchi is absolutely a comedy guy first and foremost. I think the push is impossible unless you get rid of that part of him and it makes up so much of his identity as is. The finish to the Ishimori match was fucking fantastic though.

I don't think there's anyone's I really dislike. YOH's been kinda all over the place for a while but I like his dragon suplex and Despy made the Anaconda Vice look lethal. I don't like SHO's Uwajima Pimps but it's not like he ever uses a finisher anyway.

I would've agreed outside of the BOSJ, it's exactly what I'd expect from MAO vs. Despy on paper. Just the deliberate "fuck it, let's have fun" and DDT-isms became a little too much for me. Maybe I'm just filtered by MAO.

MAO has been polarizing. I've enjoyed his matches and nonsense as a good midcard comedy guy, but I get why others would be put off. Hes a younger Taguchi to me, and I love Taguchi too, although Taguchi has a more serious past to lean on rarely while MAO is just the comedy.

I've never been huge on him in DDT either. He's a little too gimmicky for me and when he wrestles seriously he's a little too MOVEZ-y instead. Won't deny that the guy is talented, but he just isn't 100% for me.

Every time I've tried American wrestling the production is always the first thing to turn me off. Cut-on-impact is the worst sin, but the sound and "cinematography" are factors too. I think NOAH's major shows are really good, but their house shows are usually hardcam only which almost kills them completely for me.
