I’m starting to believe TK deliberately worked a “crazy Twitter user” gimmick from 2022-2024 to give WWE the benefit of the doubt and make them view him as incompetent and not worth paying attention to because he did a complete social media 180. He stopped doing all of that once he felt like he accomplished his mission.

This scrum feels like the culmination of him gleefully looking back on his work because WWE fans couldn’t be any more fed up with HHH/TKO’s creative direction whereas AEW fans are feeling the most hope they’ve felt for wrestling in a LONG time. The tides have turned completely. TK knew what he was doing and played the long game.

WM weekend seemed to be when they went full heel. All the interviews that were just terrible PR moves. The Cena fallout with Rock admitting he made shit up on the fly because he was asked to show up. Now Mania being taken from NO to Vegas just for money they would surely make anywhere.

I’ve already started watching less. It’s a shame but I feel the corporation seeping through and I feel like I’m not watching entertainment just a money-making machine that’s leaning into their right-wing tendencies.

The only reason I have a different experience is because I have a nephew. I babysat him constantly, we watched WWE cause that’s all that existed. We both stopped watching somewhere in 2018.

Then AEW showed up, my nephew is now 15 and absolutely loves wrestling, he introduces it to his friends and explains it.
