The best selling cigars are cheap gas station cigars people buy in packs of five. They're accessible, affordable, made so that they don't offend.
The best selling premium cigars are Macanudos. Not bad for what they are but, again, the value comes from being good without shining in any particular area lest they turn people off.
Any seasoned cigar smoker will tell you that neither of these has anything on an Opus X, which might run for $30 or $40 and, as such, is priced outside what most people are willing to spend on them. They are not as financially successful as gas station smokes or Macanudos but it doesn't mean that those other smokes are somehow "better".
