I've told people here this like at least a dozen times, that AEW is just UWF with actual money to back it up, crackpot mark in charge and all with probably equal amounts of coke in the system as well. Glad I'm not alone anymore.
Of course there are differences too, I think Herb had a better understanding of who would actually draw dimes in that era, but I digress.

5-10-20 years from now, people will tell slightly more tame tales of a billionaires son who was quirky but willing to pay everything out of pocket to keep the 70 million dollar deficit running dreamboat alive and how they miss that crazy son of bitch that let them sit at home for months on end while checks came in the mail.
