Biden didn't cause the inflation during his term. Trump did.
One of Trump's first moves at the beginning of his first administration was massive tax cuts. These occurred without major changes in spending. The idea is that economic growth is supposed to increase tax revenues moving forward but this rarely ever happens in reality; they never reach originally projected values.
So taxes were cut. Then, in 2020, the pandemic hit and spending was ramped up even further. It's almost as though that's why you don't cut taxes that radically; sometimes shit happens and if the spending isn't there you're caught with your pants down.
So government was pumping out spending and revenues weren't there to cover. When the government can't afford its expenditures (which is always), it borrows from the Federal Reserve, which basically prints money out of thin air. Meanwhile, Trump was pressuring the Federal Reserve to keep interest rates low. The upshot of this is a *ton* of money flowing into the system at low cost (interest rates are the cost of money), working to raise prices across the board. Factor in supply line disruptions due to Trump's mismanaged pandemic response and it's not hard to see what happened at all.
I know, I know, "But Biden." Trump is a flawless angel who can do no wrong. Shame most economists will tell you that the thing you blame Biden for most started under Trump. I know, I know, they're all radical leftist ideologues, couldn't be that you just don't know what the fuck you're talking about.
