>>17843203I think Mid-South is a meme. Best territory was Mid-Atlantic or Memphis (CWA). Even Texas (WCCW) was better than Mid-South. If you look at how the pro wrestling industry evolved as the territory system died in the mid to late 80s, you can see influence from Mid-Atlantic and Memphis the most, and WCCW to a lesser extent. Memphis angles were copied over and over and over again by WCW and WWF, for example. And of course Mid-Atlantic was the foundation of what would become JCP and then WCW. Mid-South style never really had much of a presence later on, and the biggest stars of Mid-South had to adapt to either New York (WWF) or Mid-Atlantic (WCW) style after they left.
