I don't think this is the comeback you think it is, no one is using young wrestlers in the upper mid card, not even AEW. Sadly, wrestlers who are currently less than 30 do not match up with what we perceive as "main event standard", they are all terrible promos, their in ring is usually very lacking relying almost entirely on flips, and they want to wrestle the hecking bangerinos. WWE using 40 year old Sami and KO constantly isn't because they are wrestling gods (although they are both good wrestlers), but because there is no one young who can convincingly take on their roles in the mid or lower upper card. The same thing is happening in AEW too by the way.
