The Bataan Death March was a brutal 1942 event where Japanese forces forced approximately 72,000 to 78,000 American and Filipino prisoners of war to march from Bataan Peninsula to Camp O'Donnell in the Philippines. The march lasted from April 9 to 17, 1942, and resulted in a significant loss of life, with estimates of as many as 20,000 deaths. The prisoners were crammed onto trains and forced to walk the final 9 miles to Camp O'Donnell, facing severe conditions and brutality. The march was later judged a Japanese war crime by an Allied military commission. None of that pales in comparison to what a average AEW fan has to deal with on here and X.
