Lawler buried ECW because of kayfabe and because he and Heyman were in bad terms.
Still the king loved the crazy shit ECW wrestlers could pull, and per he and JR, the TCL with The Hardys and the Canadians were the best tag team show WWE put in years.

Even Shawn Michaels himself who was watching the TLC match waited backstage to hug the Dudleys and call it the best wrestling he had seen in years.
