A very very small proportion of successful people are actual genius level smart. The vast majority are absolute retards who are too dumb to stop themselves from doing stupid shit and being a ruthless cunt. Hence, they either succeed magnificently or crash into a ball of flames.
Most of us are content with doing ok (and there are levels to that of course) but the truly insane fucks are the ones who run the world or ruin it (and sometimes, both).
