Nobody minds if the commentary team shills a product between matches/segments, like how JR and Lawler used to do, or even during jobber/midcarder entrances
Even something like the time when Shawn Michaels came out dancing around in a Colonel Sanders costume isn't so bad - as weird as that was - because it wasn't part of an angle or match
Now imagine them doing a Skittles casket match, explaining to the viewers that the winner has to put their opponent in the Skittles casket
Or imagine some guy in a Skittles package costume interrupting a MITB match
That's way different and way worse
