Wrestlers can lose matches. Even champions. Not only is it not the end of the world but it helps the roster by making other wrestlers look like more credible threats to said champion. Oh hey and then with more credible threats, title defenses will mean more because there's less certainty about who will win, and it makes the entire thing more interesting
