they gave the women’s to a powerhouse face that they want to push. they want vanity project to be a big deal and the top heels in evolve so they gave it to their cruiserweight flippy guy as a contrast.
also in that match were legacy, who will obviously get signed to NXT soon so he wouldn’t win, carver who fumbled his chances after naming the coconut, and edris who frankly i don’t know why he was even in the match.

He's in ROH. Saw him wrestling live whrn i went to Collison. Dude is pretty good. He was in NXT 2.0 very early on. He reinvented himself nicely. So he should be giving another chance. Kylie Rae got another chance. So it's possible. If he leaves AEW.
