Because people are realizing the GameCube was actually good. It had good original titles, some great ports, controller was actually comfortable and great for some games like Soul Calibur 2, etc. I could go on and on. I tried telling people back then but no one listened.

All it's "original" titles were Nintendo games at their creative valley. Third party shit was either already multiplat or ended up on PS2 six months later. It was an awful system.

I liked the RAW games. Definitely not as good as SD, but they did some things better. Problem was the gameplay itself just wasn't good enough. Also lacked the epic season mode the SD games were renown for.

Not sure why Gamecube is getting smoke here. The games on it were very good outside of Wrestlemania 18. Xbox however was trash. First Raw game is a moddable meme game that's otherwise kinda ass, Raw 2 was mid outside of the free as hell season mode, WM 21 is in the top 5 WOAT conversation.
...Notice how the Wrestlemania-named games turn out to suck, though

As far as I know Day of Reckoning 2 is one of the only matches I know where a pinfall can be broken up by someone else landing a body onto them. Fatal Four Way Matches were way better on DOR2 and even Triple Threat matches were realistic too because the schizo AI was not above doing cheap tactics like double teaming with you or trying to steal a pin. It had oddly better intelligence than nowadays where’s there’s just some retarded percentage set of when a guy is gonna block or not. Boring.
