This especially. I get it's an unpopular opinion and NM obviously had more going on in it but WM2000 was just different. That 98/99 timeframe it's based off of is perfect too

I had zero access to the Internet when no mercy came out and none of my friends had a n64 so I had no idea there was an issue with saves getting wiped and just thought I had a dodgy copy but didn't want to ask my parents for another one because we were pretty poor back then and I was only allowed a couple of games a year :(

I liked it more than no mercy but that is likely because I was completely burned out on the formula by the time no mercy had come out due to playing 2000 obsessivly . I still put a bunch of hours into no mercy but 2000 was my number 1 wrastlin game.

These were legitimately great graphics in 1999. Warzone and Attitude had bodyscans but they looked shitty zoomed out and moved horribly.

The backstage/arena exploration for Know Your Role was the best part of the game. Taking a match all the way outside of the arena to the streets, a bar, and WWF New York Restaurant was kino as fuck. He’ll you could even get to the kitchen area of the restaurant. THQ used to have soul.

Smackdown 2 is overrated. I say that because you had to do a lot of unlocking through career mode (like Stone Cold) and you had to aim every. single. match. Watch the bars go back and forth till some computer beats the other and it has nothing to do with you. Followed by loading screen. Followed by random cutscene again, possibly not related to you. The good thing was they made finishers easy to do which Acclaim fucked up.

I remember the load screens more than the gameplay. I never liked the SD games because you’d miss a shooting star press, but your wrestler would bounce right back up. There wasn’t much consequence for missing your moves. All the top rope moves in the AKI games were high risk.

You're retarded. A lot of us grew up with the N64 when it was being phased out. These kind of graphics were quite common. I used to play WWF Attitude a lot as a kid and it was one of the first games my mother was against me playing at such a young age, but she eventually let me.
