she's a classic case of "...and then the bell rings" poof, her in-ring gameplay is trash.
her entire wrestling attributes went to her character and looks, because her wrestling is programmed like somebody wrote Chelsea's wrestling moves with Triple H's ball sacks.
thus, Chelsea is no different than the classic 2000s Era WWE Diva who were all overrated.

AJ Lee was jealous because she viewed herself as a real wrestler who happened to be a woman, but the Bellas leaned into their femininity and their bitchy personalities and all the drama and stuff and drew a big dimes with total divas. I think the "paved the way" talk is a bit hyperbolic, but the Bellas definitely were good for women being recognized in WWE. The best way to get Vince's attention is to draw dimes. And the Bellas did that.
