Anybody know how the fuck to efficiently search the CMLL YouTube channel?
I've been fucking around with the idea of putting together an accessible list of Steph's full matches in CMLL because there's some really, really, really good stuff in there (and the production values are pretty good)
but I'm missing a lot of shows seems like
Some of them are behind a paywall and I'll probably fork them some pesos for that, but there are a lot of Friday shows in 2021-22 that I can't find at all

Whichever really, makes no difference. CMLL seem to upload almost all of their full shows but they don't make playlists, don't put the full cards in the description, and don't even seem to have an actual pattern to name the videos of the full shows
Basically if you cross reference cagematch with the channel, half the time you're like "boy this match looks cool but I can't fucking find the show that was supposed to have aired on that date" or just a couple highlights

I can't find the full shows around her debut in CMLL for instance, found none of her full matches in the first 2-3 months
I've found a lot of full events/matches for the whole 2021-23 period, and some PPV outside of youtube, but still quite a few holes (excluding what seem like house shows)

it's kinda funny to me how generally positive the discourse is since it was revealed that Steph was dating a white guy - for example if you go into the comments on Myles' "Chilean queen" post you see comments in Spanish that are like "you're an honorary Chilean now! tldr;

The best way to search them so far I have found is by,
>Searching the following in Google:
"vaquer" AND "VideosOficialesCMLL" -informa
>Click on the Videos tab
>Set the filter Duration with the Long option
More context.

The CMLL youtube channel has shit indexing for exactly what you describe, and it doesn't have the complete cards but it's the best library for CMLL stuff, you just have to see titles after August 2019 (her debut) and before July 2024 (her WWE debut).

Also Vaquer debuted near the COVID era and because women are still considered undercarders most of the time during this era her matches were dark matches or was sent to do outside shows.

Also some of her Japan matches might be missing.

Also iirc everything CMLL before 2024/2023 is free because they have some deal with a streaming platform called Vix after mid 2023

Luchablog has some old full matches but it's not complete nor indexed

Official free CMLL stream sites like Vix don't have Vaquer matches but has the complete last year if you just want to watch CMLL, just don't expect Vaquer.

Watch wrestling and some of it's copies used to archieve all of CMLL as an indie fed but for some reason I can't seem to find them anymore.

Thank you very much for the writeup, really appreciate it.
I had tried using the dates and video lengths to target specific shows, but going for longer intervals seems to work much better so far, and using -informa is a great idea.
It's indeed much easier to find the indie stuff.
I'll try to put a decent list together in the next couple days and post it, I should be able to find most of it now, and if anybody's interested they can fill the gaps.
I'll probably only list CMLL, most of what I've seen so far is really good, and with the camera work it's a nice showcase of what she can do and hasn't done in WWE yet. And the evolution of her style and look over that period is really cool to watch.

I don't know, we'll see, what I do know is that if I were to bet on whether AAA as a whole or Steph on her own is gonna bring in more cash to TKO in the next 5 years, I'd put my money on VAQ, 100%.
So I'm fairly certain she'll be fine and treated as well as can be, like a great investment should be if nothing else.

it's all relative, right? A company like TKO doesn't spend money on AAA unless they feel like it's going to juice growth in Latin America - same reason why CMLL partnered with AEW.

As much as I think we'd like to think that Steph is a gigantic difference maker I think that TKO kinda just sees her as an interchangeable piece like they do with most of their talent. A lot of her pushes/titles are probably going to coincide with LATAM-specific campaigns or marketing efforts. It's basically the perils of being an ESL in TKO - just look at all the various stop/start pushes of Asian talent.

Yeah it's all relative but AAA hasn't been in fantastic shape, that's probably why they got bought. WWE sure can make money with it but it's not gonna pay itself back instantly short term. In a few years it could be very profitable, or not.
Meanwhile, Stephanie draws like right now, and will likely just keep drawing like crazy for a good five years minimum.

I should probably clarify my point and say that I think having her do a ton of LATAM marketing was probably the plan (given that they sent her to Chile to do local media a few months after signing) but they likely pulled back on it due to the fact that she had to get situated on RAW. The Spanish / LATAM Netflix socials seem to be promoting her a fair account so it's probably something more like "this was the original plan and we'll get to it further down the line"

I'm just saying, WWE treats foreign talent a bit better now, and they still understand the concept of stars. When they get one like her, literally the best at what she does, hardworking and all, they roll with it.
As for the shelf life, Asuka is still mega over at 43 years old and Steph is much better than Asuka was 10 years ago. They can do a lot of stuff with her especially in the context of a push towards non-US markets.
Anyway, all of that to say, they can fumble her booking but she'd still draw massively nonetheless (AAA tho, not so much lol). But they sure won't fumble so bad she fucks off because of Hiedra lol at least I hope they ain't that dumb

she was fired by TNA/Impact for being an arrogant cunt to the rest of the girls 5-6 years ago and calling one of them a nigger iirc? Well after her CMLL exile, they ended up rehiring her.
She took it and she's been busting her ass off since then, seems that she's now a real pro and she's still one of the very few women that can actually wrestle. The crowds chanting "she's a racist" is the problem tho, if she never gets another chance it will be because of that. Sad shit cause she's one of the best.

CMLL does have a heavy grudge against people working on other promotions or leaving on bad terms.
It's kinda weird that Steph's last opponent before her WWE signing was Tessa and both are on the ban list albeit for different reasons of course.
Recently Mortos a.k.a Taurus got to work back on CMLL during the AEW collab, but he left on good terms, but the same can't be said for Dralistico and Rush (Dragon Lee's brothers) who left on bad terms and are still on the ban list, the weird thing is that Mortos, Dralistico and Rush work for AEW but I guess Mortos fucking Mercedes Mone is like fucking Charles in WWE it gives you all sorts of benefits.
