If the aol merger never happened, I assume wcw survives all of the 2000s.
By the time Turner has to retire, we have no idea what execs would be in place
and if ATAT still buys it they would want wcw content for hbo max I assume.

I guess they would also still have warner music and would be trying to get rid of the cable division now

nitro was still the highest rated weekly show on tnt and was one of the highest rated weekly shows on cable, even in 2000. only wwf was higher. It wasn't really anything to do with ratings. They just didn't want wrestling on tnt anymore because they thought it was gay and didn't bring in enough advertising revenue which is perhaps true
