The real problem is that the guys like Black and Rusev just can't stand out in bigger rosters. It's easy to be a big deal in a show with like 30 wrestlers like NXT, but when you're on a big show like the WWE main roster or AEW, where there are 70-80 guys trying to get their shit in, you have to really have something.
All the WWE guys who went over to AEW and had success are guys who were already successful in WWE in the first place, guys like Mox and Punk.
The fairy tale Cody Rhodes story just doesn't happen for 99% of wrestlers

Why are you lying? Two of their biggest homegrown stars are Toni and Swerve both of whome were bottom of the barrel in WWE and started from there when they came to AEW too.
The truth is much more simple, both Cucksev and AlistairTaker are just two midcarders whose ceiling is the US title, that's it.

The Miro gimmick was actually really good, it's Rusev's fault for not putting in the work. Like I get he's a big guy and a self mark so he doesn't want to lose, but he should have been smart enough to know he was lucky to be in the midcard at that point, and if he had worked with Tony he could have probably gotten to the main event scene.
