I’ll never not believe this angle wasn’t initially meant to do some higher power takeover with someone like Shane McMahon but they had to abandon those plans. The Cope feud being underwhelming didn’t do them any favors. Right around Dynasty with the Bucks helping them picked it back up & they ended it as well as they could’ve. Underscoring hangman & swerve forgiving each other by Swerve helping him in the title match was genuinely great booking.
