>>18384228>Benoit led to skinny fat CM Punk getting a push on SDPunk wasn't even skinnyfat until his biggest run in 2011. He was in great shape his first couple of years.
And Phil didn't get on SD until 2009 and he was unquestionably the biggest heel on the roster by the time he was there with the SES stuff.
>AE/RA main eventers retired/went part time in '10-11Cena and Orton were pretty active. Batista did leave. Michaels was barely main eventing by then. Top of card? sure. But I wouldn't say he was a main eventer. Closer to upper-midcard.
And who is to blame with that? They tried making people but failed like Sheamus and Wade who both quickly got buried by Cena/HHH.
>Womeme2015-16 are probably the last decent Vince years. Womeme were annoying, but I would say the 2018-2020 period was far more damaging.
>All of this manifested an audience of neckbeards, gays, and blue-haired women."Blue-haired women" in 2025 reeks of someone that was a child in 2016 and wanted to sound cool.
And
>Avatar is some gay weeb shitkek.
>>18384277This is accurate. When Vince nationalized, it came with a fault in that it'd be impossible to build that audience again. The 90s were the last bastion of those fans because it was a mix of people who could still kind of remember the territories and older people that did. Once it was over, those crowds just left. Part of the inception of TNA was looking for those fans because their were at least 2.5 million people that straight up just stopped watching wrestling and grew up on that.
There's no more organic growth. It's all booked by committee. The brand is the most important thing for them. Territories, yes the brand was important, but a guy can just leave once his run is over and won't have to worry about growing stale. Look at how many guys they've had for decades taht are still there doing the same shit? That would kill a territory back then.
