>>18410737It makes a difference for you. You don't have to buy things that you don't want to buy. I pay for Netflix because I personally feel like I get value from Netflix. If I no longer feel that way, or I feel like the value is less than the price, I'll unsubscribe. Easy.
I don't feel like I get value from taxation. I would rather save that money and use it for other things. But if I do that, the government would use force to extract that money from me. No private company has the power to do this. No private company is as much of a threat to my safety and comfort as the government.
