I don’t understand where people get this from. I enjoy his matches more than Ospreay, Omega or Nick and Matt Jacksons matches but apparently his “in-ring” is bad? What even makes someone a good in-ring wrestler? Surely making a crowd feel involved in the story being told is number 1?

You're right. I should have said that his wrestling style would never get him anywhere in AEW, because its fans expect main eventers to be "good in-ring workers" according to their own criteria, by which Knight is nowhere near even being considered decent.
