Seth/Punk is the world title feud with a story.
Cody is just a clean face with good media training they can use if the media goes hard on WWE about Brock.

If WWE actually care who the champion is from a TV perspective you might get a short LA Knight run while Cody is gone because he beat Seth. Doubt it though. They'll want the belt on Cody even if he's not there and LA Knight will never be world champion.
